Today, I give myself permission for rest.
If I find myself running through my day or attempting to get way too many things done, I stop and pause and I ask myself:
Is it time for rest?
I let rest look as it wishes to look in my life, be it a short nap, a pause, a breath, a dance break, or a walk.
I give myself permission for rest in the way my body, mind, and soul needs.
I may not see examples of deep rest in society and modern culture, but I create them for myself and for my community.
I give others permission to rest by giving myself permission to rest.
In my moments of deep rest, I allow any stress to melt away, to fall into the abyss, and I come back to my center. Every day, I give myself permission for rest.
