Today, I live outside of the virtual.
I remember that my existence is more than my email, my social media, my online calendars, and my phone.
I remember my feet on the earth, on the cool tiles of the bathroom floor. I look at myself in the mirror, and I see the sparkle of my radiant heart, beaming through my eyes.
I notice who I am and the way I interact with strangers, and the way I care for my body, my home, and the generosity that I bring to my community.
I remember that I am not the virtual world. I am not who I appear to be as a tiny avatar in my phone. I am not my job. I am not a title that appears in an online bio. I am this human who walks with a fullness of heart, with a compassionate tone.
I am the one who dances, and sings, and prays, and makes love.
I am the one who honors my existence in this body, with this heart.
Today, I remind myself that I live outside of the virtual. That the being who I identify with is here, flesh and blood, laughter and tears, in this very moment, all the way down to my toes.
