Learn the Language of your Soul / A Woman Writes
This month, as I am still deep in my manuscript and turning it in very soon for its first edit, I offer you two poems about the nature of soul, creativity, and why we must dive into the deep waters of our selves if we wish to know who we really are... Not the conditioned mind, not the personality, not the career identity... But who we are under it all... The part of us that is eternal, that speaks in dreams, in moments that we are touched or moved. In a few weeks, I will embark with a group of journeyers into the inner worlds of noting how ALIVENESS, soul, story, myth, art, shakti, and sex moves through a LIFE! Instead of clamping down around the creative channel or forcing it into a box... finding that unique way of your own expression. I have been expressing and diving for many, many years so I am excited to call other women into this with me. I have not taught a class like this before, and who knows, I may not again! So, if you are called to examine why you feel fog or confusion around your creative flow, your voice, your channel, your expression... why there are blocks to your sharing or touching the spot inside of aliveness, and how good it can feel to live close to that thread... then join us HERE. Hearing a song
that makes you weep
as you fall to your knees,
watching a film
that makes you shriek!
These are moments
you can’t buy.
When a piece of art makes
you scream,
or weep,
or become obsessed,
then you've found a bit
of your Soul there!
Congrats!
Your Soul can’t be bought
on Amazon Prime,
it speaks in the smell
of library books,
in theaters with crimson
seats,
in films you must download
illegally to watch,
it speaks in poems that
make you feel like you’ve taken drugs!
The Language of the Art
that surrounds you,
is the story of your
being!
Likely your Soul has
its own canon.
Learn it.
Find it.
Treasures await!
A WOMAN WRITES
A woman writes to give her soul a voice.
A woman writes to give her spirit space.
On a page,
she can fly.
In a story,
she cannot lie!
A woman writes because she doesn't know
how else
to confront the man,
to speak up for the
waters of wisdom,
the forests of love!
To stand in the Supreme Court of the Soul
and say: "Enough is enough!"
A woman writes because
words are her magic wand,
her path to freedom!
A woman writes to
liberate the truth
in herself,
and other women!
She
writes
because
she
